Gum lifts

Some people show a lot of pink gums  when they smile. It can be unattractive. Gum lifts remove excess gum tissue and expose more of the crown of the tooth, restoring a more normal balance between teeth size and gum display. This can apply to just one tooth or all your front teeth.

There are two ways that gum lifts can be performed.

Surgical gum lifts: this traditional method involves the use of a scalpel to lift the gums away from the bone, then trim and shape the edges of your bone, then re adapt the gum tissue to the new bony contours.

Laser gum lifts: this procedure involves trimming away the small amounts of excess gum tissue and reshaping the edges of the gums with a laser. There is no cutting, bleeding or sutures and less pain afterwards. Most people prefer this proceedure.
